Beginner tip: Changes made on this tab will take effect the next time you start Plucker Desktop.
Translate interface into the local language toggles whether to translate the dialogs from English into the language preferred by the computer. If enabled, one can then selecte whether to Autodetect language or to Force a specific language. It is recommended to use the autodetection option, but if you wish to try to force a language, you can choose one of the currently available languages using the Choose language... button.
Power user tip: Languages listed in the "Choose language" popup are available to be translated if you so desire. To translate, you can download poEdit from poedit.sf.net and use a nice GUI client to bring Plucker Desktop to the speakers of your language. See the file called HOW_TO_TRANSLATE.txt for full details.
Show toolbar toggles whether or not to show a toolbar on the main dialog. If a toolbar is shown, you can select a preferred toolbar style from the list.
Show statusbar toggles whether to show the status bar at the bottom of the main dialog.
Dialog placement specifies where you want dialogs to appear on your screen, as each is displayed in turn. Some dialogs, such as warning messages, and wizards will stay in the middle regardless, however. The main frame of the application counts as a dialog--it you want it to stay where you left it, instead of centering, select the My previous location option.
Show daily tips on startup... displays a "Tip of the day" popup on program startup with some tips on how to use Plucker Desktop better. You can toggle the tip box on and off, and also configure the type of tips to show: build your basic Plucker knowledge, advanced Plucker knowledge, or knowledge of rubber chickens.
Show splash screen on startup toggles whether or not to show a Plucker splashscreen while Plucker Desktop initially loads.
